I've been making an effort to pick up the camera everyday! I've been doing pretty good. A solid 6 days last week I took pictures, and I've been really pleased with the results. Yesterday's evening shoot in Beacon Hill however, was a bit of a flop.
Some days, you're just not feeling it. And it's apparent through the work. Yesterday, I never really "got into the groove." I just haphazardly snapped a few pictures.I let the hustle and bustle of the city irritate me instead of inspire me. The light wasn't quite right for evening yet, I really needed to wait another hour before I even started shooting, but I didn't. I wasn't even going to share any pictures from yesterday.
But you know - that's not the point. The point is to grow and learn from each experience. I realize now that yesterday, I was comparing myself to every classic Boston tourism shot of Beacon Hill. I felt like I needed to get the perfect doorway shot, but I should have just focused on myself and what inspired me. So I got a little lost, that's ok.
