Kent Maxwell Painting - indoor shoot

I decided to mix things up for my 'photo walk' and do an indoor shoot instead. I pulled out the tripod and set up a quick shoot. Considering I'm only using natural light and nothing to help reduce the shadows, I'm pretty pleased. Honestly, I like having deeper shadows.

The painting in the pictures is by an Artist that I had a painting class with during college. Kent Maxwell, he is awesome. I bought the painting this summer at the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen Annual Fair in Sunapee, New Hampshire. Personally, I was immediately smitten by this one. The stars in the sky won me over. He even built these custom frames, the painting looks like it's floating in there. The attention to detail is amazing. I'm excited to follow his journey and lemme tell you right now, when I move into a house again - I'm going to be buying more of Kent's paintings...
